Happy Birthday Nate!
Our Natter Tatter turned 7! He is growing so fast. He is so fun and brings so much energy to our family. We are so proud of the boy he is and Love him so much HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!!!
Kevin and I took him out to dinner all by himself. He picked his favorite....Fazoli's!
Nate has been wanting to go to Build a Bear forever so we decided to take him for his birthday. He LOVED it!
We snuck into his room after he was asleep and hung balloons above his bed. He was pretty excited when he woke up....extra early!!!
Thank goodness for great friends!!!
So this is what was left of our poor tree. Pretty sad. Our great friends Tony and the Smiths came with a chain saw and help us clean it up. We are so lucky and grateful to have them.
The babies decided they didn't like watching the action from inside so we bundled them up and sent them out to play in the snow.

Pictures!
So it is yet another snow day today and I finally took some pictures. After 2 hours of scraping ice off my car (I actually used a blow dryer) and Kevin scrapping the driveway we were able to get into my car to get my camera. We feel very blessed to not have lost our power (yet!) but I am very sad because my big beautiful tree in the front of my house has totally broken apart. I took a picture of it yesterday because I thought it was so pretty. Now this morning it is a completely different tree. It is right outside our bedroom window and all we could do was lay there and listen to it break knowing we could do nothing. I guess I need to be grateful it is just a tree and that we are safe and warm. Thousands of people are without power including water treatment plants in some counties. It's time like these that we wonder how well we have listened and how prepared we really are.

Not so beautiful

Another snow day!!
So we had another snow day today. I love snow days other than the fact that we have to make them up at the end of the year. I love it in the morning when my kids wake up and realize that I didn't get them up for school. They get so excited. Not to mention I love getting to climb back into bed. We got some snow then it turned to freezing rain so now everything is pure Ice. My car has an inch of ice covering it and all the trees are so gorgeous. I was going to get some pictures of my kids sliding down the driveway and of the trees but my camera is in my car frozen shut. I will have to take some after I can get into my car. In the mean time I love having my kids home. I hate all the snow cloths that go on and off but when I think about being little again and loving snow days I try to think more about my kids and their excitement. So we turn on the fire and have the hot chocolate going so that they can get warm just to do it all over again. I love the feeling of having everyone home and safe with me and am so grateful to have a beautiful home to keep us warm and hide us away from the world.

We Made it!!
So we finally hit the magical 18 month mark. Our babies are officially in the NURSERY!!!!!!!! Yeah! It seems like we have been in there already for the past six months but yesterday was the first day we did not have to stay with them since they turned 18 month old yesterday. I can't believe how fast the time is going. It has been almost two years (in two weeks) since we found out we were having twins but it seems like yesterday. The past two years have been kind of a blur. We have loved every minute of it. Don't get me wrong. We have had our moments ( a lot) where we wonder what in the world we are doing or going to do but we wouldn't trade them for the world. They are so much fun and getting such cute personalities. It is so fun to watch them together and know that they will always have each other. Growing up my grandma and my mom use to recite the poem : cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow for babies grow up, we've learned through our sorrow so quiet down cob weds and dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby(s) for babies don't keep. I know that my house has been a lot neglected and not quite what I would like it to be all the time as having twins has really thrown me for a loop but hopefully I will be able to look back and remember it all and not feel like I missed any of it.

Priorities!!!!!!
So I know I have really neglected my blog this last month. I can only blame it on good books that my sisters got me hooked on. I can't put them down. So all my spare time was spent reading instead of blogging. I promise to do better. Stay tuned for more pictures!
Happy New year 2009!

Home made gifts!
My Brother in Law Andy had Kevin this year and made him our family in stick people. He definitely gets the most creative this year! He made all eight of us down to the twins. Super cute. He also made Him a Carmel chocolate covered apple. Yummy. My sister in law Jen had me and made a calendar with pictures of all of my family for every month. Yes I cried. She must have spent hours. I love it! (I will have to add pictures later). Every year we have a special night on Dec 23rd where we get together (adults only) and have an awesome dinner and open our homemade gifts. Even though we couldn't be there this year we all shipped our gifts and we were on the phone while they got opened and we were definitely there in spirit.
