Crazy girl!!!!

Remind you of anyone? I'll give you one guess....... You guessed it!!!!

Still my best friend!!!!

In my previous story I neglected to mention my best friend Jenne who took my kids while we were at the hospital. 5 days later when Kevin had to leave for a conference and my mom could not come because she was sick and did not want to get the baby sick Jenne was my lifesaver. She even threw me an awesome baby shower. Yes Jenne, you are still my best Friend and I miss you every day.

Looking back

5 years ago I was expecting Lexi at any minute. On Friday afternoon my doctor said he would induce me that evening. So my whole Family (three sisters, one brother, spouses, parents, In-laws, and probably 25 nieces and nephews headed to our house for the weekend. That night the Dr said they did not have an open bed so I would have to wait until one came available and that he would call as soon as that happened. So we waited and waited. My sister and moms cleaned my house and made me sit and watch. I have had to do that a few times now. It is torture yet soo appreciated. Finally Sunday morning he called and told me to go the hospital. They induced me finally things were rollin. When I got to a six I told my family to come since all three boys previously came about 15 minutes after I was at a six. They came and yet again we waited.....and waited..... At about 11:30 pm the guys decided they were going to take all the kids and head back To CDA. My parents and sisters stayed to wait it out. Now this is the fun part. My little sister Dawna was due in month and mind you had been cleaning my house all weekend. While she was waiting for Lexi to be born she Kept complaining about "pressure". I tried to get her to let my Dr. Check her but she insisted that it was just her back and she was fine. Well Lexi Finally came about 12:30 am and we were so surprised and thrilled to find out it was a girl. We didn't know what we were having so the hospital had a pink hat and blue hat ready for the baby. My sister was expecting a boy and told the nurse that if I had a girl she would love to have the blue had since all her hospital had was the unisex ones. The nurse sent her home with the blue hat at about 2:00am. That same morning she called me and said that she was having her baby. Totally unfair. Way to steal my thunder. J/K. Of course I was still in the hospital and could not be there but I remember telling her to call me as soon as "HE" was here. A while later she called and told me that the baby was here but that she had a girl and not a boy. Needless to say it was meant to me. Now our girls are 1 day apart and we love it. It has been so fun to have them so close together. If only they could live close together. These pictures are of our girls the first time together (three days later) and of my sisters waiting at the hospital. I know it was a sacrifice for all of them to be there but I loved knowing they were there and am so grateful. I think every girl needs a sister....or four. I really do have the best family!!!!!

Happy Birthday Lexi!

Today our beautiful Lexi turned 5 years old. I can't believe how much fun she is. She started out the day with breakfast in bed. Then off to preschool where she is star of the week. She got to take pictures and be the special helper. She also gets to take the snack all week. This year she decided she wanted a friend party so after preschool we had a few of her friends over for lunch and cake and ice cream. They made their own pizzas and played games. She had a great time. She went out to get the mial and descovered she had a present from her Farr cousins and was so excited. Thanks guys. After Kevin got home we took her to Build a Bear where she was in heaven picking out her clothes. To bad she couldn't have them all. Then we went to Fazolli's (again) and back home for a few more family presents. She had a great day and said it was the best birthday ever.

Making the best of it.

The only good thing about our tree braking is that the kids got to build an awesome fort. They worked all weekend on it and were so excited. Then today when they got home from school they went straight to their fort. Five minutes later the big garbage truck showed up with 3 big guys to haul it away. It was so sad to watch my kids as they sat on the front steps and watch them men destroy the fort that spent so long making. They new it was going to happen but I think they were hoping for later then sooner. Leave it to kids to turn a disaster into an opportunity
