We have some really great friend, love you Drew and Ashlee, that are lucky enough to have their family visit quite often. We have gotten to know them and I must admit have tried to adopt them as our own. Lexi especially loves "Grandma Rita" and Drew's brother Jed! We recently found out that Jed is engaged and getting married on saturday! Lexi was super excited to get his announcement and like we always do stuck it on our fridge. Sunday morning I noticed this and couldn't help but smile. Lexi had made a snowman magnet at Christmas with her face as the head. I guess she decided her head looked better next to Jed's then his fiance's did. When I asked if she did it she just gave me a bashful smile. If only Jed would wait Oh another 14 years or so!!!!
TROUBLE with a capital T!
I knew it was way to quiet! Mason found the hair foam and thought it looked like fun. It is moments like these that make you realize your babies are smarter than we give them credit for. They totally know they are doing something wrong when they go to hide in the closet in order to not get caught. Of course I was trying to look stern so that they would know it was wrong at the same time telling them not to move so I could take some pictures. Do you think they got my point! Which point I'm not sure. Oh well. They are only little for so long. (Sorry that my babes don't have any pants on. They are potty trained but that also means that they go in to go potty on their own and half the time come back out without their pants!)
We love snow!
Two weeks ago we were suppose to get a big snow storm (2-6 inches...huge I know). They actually cancelled school before the storm even hit. We knew Wednesday night that there was no school Thursday and the snow didn't start until around 11am. we did get a few inches so school was cancelled on Friday as well. I'm not going to complain because I love snow days but I have to laugh just a little at my fellow Kentuckians. Growing up in North Idaho we had to have two feet of snow before they would even consider closing school. If it snows at all in Kentucky the whole town shuts down which is probably good because no one knows how to drive in it. Anyway we had a great long weekend and the kids spent most of their days outside. I had a hard time keeping up with snow clothes and dry gloves. It was a blast and hope we get a few more days like that.
Lexi had gone sledding and fell into a creek and got her boots and gloves wet. I stuck them in the dryer so she could go back out and next thing I know I walk into my laundry room and find Lexi asleep in one of my laundry hampers waiting for her boots and gloves. The picture is priceless but please ignore all the laundry. I did have 6 kids home from school for two days after all!!! (Lame excuse I know!)
Nap time!
Mia fell asleep on Kev's lap one Sunday and I loved how her hand was gripping his shirt. Kevin was of course asleep as well until I went to take the picture. When I told him to smile this is what I got.(He will probably not be very happy with me when he finds out I put this picture on here. Better to ask forgiveness than permission right!!!)
