So Excited!!

We found out that my Brother and Sister-in-law are moving to Jefferson City Missouri. That is only about 7 hours away from us. Even though we loved visiting Florida we are so excited to be that close because that means we can get together so much more often. I never thought I would have any of my family that close and I can't wait.

Thanksgiving in Florida!

I decided I had better update my blog with Thanksgiving pictures befor Christmas is here. We drove 15 hours to Florida to spend Thanksgiving with my brother and his family. My Parents Flew out to meet us. It was a blast and the weather was so great. We played at the pool and went to the beach, took and air boat ride and saw some alligators. Ate lots of yummy food and loved hanging out with family. Thanks Dave and Jen for putting up with the craziness and letting us crash your Thanksgiving.

Lexi's ABC's of Thanksgiving!

Today after lunch Lexi's class did the ABC's of Thanksgiving where each child was assigned a letter and what the letter represented in the thanksgiving story. Lexi was the letter R. She did great and was super proud of her hat! I have to say she would have made a dang cute pilgrim! (R is for Ready! The pilgrims were getting ready for the big Thanksgiving celebration!)

Thanksgiving Lunch with the kids.

Kev and I were able to go today and have lunch with the kids for their Thanksgiving Feast!!! They were excited to have us there but really It was Kev they were excited about. I get to eat with them quite often but Kevin Never does so it was a special treat for them to have him there.

The underground railroad!!

Cameron had to do a history fair project for 5Th grade this year and decided to do it on the Underground railroad. We are lucky enough to have the National Underground railroad museum in Cincinnati. Plus if it is for educational purpose you can get an excused absent from school. So Cameron and I took the day off and went to the museum for the day. It was really interesting. I of course new what it was but to see it in such a real way made it so much more personal. It made me so grateful for freedom. Right across the street from the freedom center is the Ohio river which was the the border line between slave and free states. It was awesome to look out across the river and get a feel for what the slaves must have felt being so close to freedom. It was a great day and I think even Cam was able to gain an appreciation for what we have and what we never had to go through. One of Cams favorite placeS is right across the street(in the backgroud) so he had to get a picture. THE GREAT AMERICAN BALL PARK! HOME OF THE CINCINNATI REDS!!

Happy Halloween 2009!!!

Friday night we had a great trunk-or-treat with our ward. The kids had a great time and got so much candy. Monkey SEE, Monkey DO!!! These little monkeys won runner up for best kids costume! Saturday night per tradition we went over to some friends house for soup and bread and hot cider and of course trick or treating. Several families come so it is lots of fun. The kids love going trick or treating with all their friends. Thanks Carlsons for a great night! Some of you may be asking how I came up with this Idea for my twins. Really all you have to do is spend a few minutes with them to know why. Kevin took the older kids around Trick-or-Treating while I stayed with the babies. The following pictures are a few examples of why they are Monkey SEE and Monkey DO! And No, I did not pose them. I just had to follow them around with the camera and they took care of the rest. (This is only about 45 minutes of the day but really all day everyday is more of the same. Where one goes the other follows!)
