My little Man!

Mason got his first haircut yesterday. He has really needed one for a while. Mia and Mason turned 14 months yesterday as well so we figured it was about time. He so much more grown up now. Quite the handsom little guy if you ask me (but than I am his mother).

I don't expect any of you to know which one they are) This is what we end up doing during games! Lexi even managed to step on a bee. OUCH! We put a mud patch on it. She loved that!!

HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY TYLER!!

Tyler turned 11 on Monday September 22nd! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He is such a great boy with so many different abilities. He is always making us laugh and loves to pick on his younger siblings. He is too smart for his own good and way smarter then me. The only problem with this is that he knows it! He is such a snugly guy and has the greatest love for family than anyone else I know. WE are so grateful to have him in our family.

We left the room for a second and this is what I came back to find! I didn't Even know she knew how to climb up there! She loved the Pie TOO!!

My good friend Ashlee made a pie a few weeks ago and brought me a piece. I wouldn't share very much with my kids so Tyler asked her if she would make him one for his birthday. When I asked Tyler what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday he said all he wanted was Ashlees pie. So this is they yummy Cheesecake pie with peach topping. She was nice enough to make it for him and I lucked out of having to make it. She even made him his own special little one just for him. Cameron has been widdeling away at this stick for about a week now making a pretty cool "something!" He decided to give it to Tyler for his birthday. We all know the time he put into it so it was quite the sacrifice to give it away. It's moments like these when you notice that they really do love eachother!

Sanity time!!

When ever babies are grumpy or I just need a little bit of time to finish sweeping or moping or vacuuming or just sitting without both babies right under foot I send them outside with Lex. There is no where else they would rather be. The only problem is that they get really dirty. I can't figure out why!!!! Lexi doesn't like getting dirty. Oh wait, is that a worm in her hand!

The other night we were playing around with the kids before having family prayer. Kev was giving mason a "horsey ride" and Mia was learning to balance on his hands. As we were getting ready to have family prayer Mia started folding her arms and copying us. It is so cute. When we are really lucky she will bow her head and close her eyes usually only for a second before she is peeking to make sure everyone is still watching her. Mason won't even try. He just looks at you and laughs. What is it about kids and phones. Do you think she has seen this a few to many times? Nah!!!!! The kids love it when Kev carries them to bed. It's actually more like he tries to walk while they try to hang on but they love it anyway. It's an extra special night when Dad lets them "climb on".

Lexi's first day of school!

Lexi had her first day of school today. She was super excited. This is the first year I have been able to do school shopping for a girl. I think I had more fun then she did. She found her Disney princess backpack first and could of cared less about anything else after that. After we had her backpack she said we could go home. I told her we still had to get clothes and she shrugged her shoulders and said"if you want to". I would ask her "Do you want to get this?" and she would say "Sure, if you want to." the whole time wearing her backpack. She did however pick out her pink shirt she wore today and told me that she really wanted that one. She looked adorable and way to big today. I was trying not to cry and kept telling my self it is only preschool and for 3 hours. I could do that! Her being so excited helped. As I was doing her hair (a much as I possibly can) she did say " I will miss you guys today!" I think the hardest part about sending her is knowing that this is just the beginning and Life as I know it with Lexi will never be the same. I will sure miss having her home all day. She is such a big helper and makes me laugh all the time. She will do great and after all it is only 3 days a week. All in all we made it through the 3 hours and I was very glad to have her back home. I think the babies were too!

A great labor day weekend and visit!

Brett and Haydee decided to come spend the weekend and we had such a great time. They surprised us with a box of Peaches from a farm by St. Louis. When I called them to check on their progress in driving she told me that they got lost on a detour and would be later than they thought because she didn't want to ruin the surprise. You can get lost anytime you want to Haydee!! They were so yummy! they also brought apples and the biggest blackberries I have ever seen. Thanks Guys. On Sunday night we went for a drive down to the ferry that crosses the Kentucky river. It has been in operation since 1785 making it the oldest continuously operating business in Kentucky and maybe even the oldest ferry in America. It takes 3 cars across at a time and only takes about 3 minutes. The kids thought it was fun and we had a great time. On Monday the kids played the WII, ran through the sprinkler, Haydee and I got in a little shopping (thanks Brett and Kev,the babies helped with dishes and Laundry which can really pile up with 12 people in a house, and we had a yummy BBQ before Brett and Haydee had to head home. It was a great weekend and so fun to just hang out without the caos of major holidays to worry about. Thanks for coming guys. can't wait to see you again. Mia was fascinated watching through the window of the washing machine
