Niagra falls!

Niagara falls was amazing. We had so much fun. I think I stared at the falls for three days and still did not get sick of it. Most of our picture's are of the American falls because you really couldn't see the horseshoe fall as well because of the mist. You could however get a really good sense of the power behind it. Every night at Niagara falls they illuminate the falls and change the colors. Its hard to tell in this picture but they were red and green at that moment. At one time they were a rainbow which was really pretty. On the Maid of the Mist boat tour into the mist of the falls. Because of the rocks you can not get as close to the American falls thus allowing us to take a picture. When we got to the horseshoe falls it was way to wet for the phone or camera but really awesome to be that close to them. We took a hike down to the bottom of the American falls and got right into the mist. It was suppose to be like hurricane weather with the wind and the mist from the falls. I've never experienced a hurricane thank goodness but It was just as I imagined it being. Some of us got more soaked then others however. The boys loved it.

A quick run through of our summer!!!

Actually it has been so long that is starts a bit before summer. DA DADA DA! I'm back! So the stars have finally aligned enough for my camera (card/cords) and computer to be working at the same time. It has been so long that I'm surprised I even remembered how to post but we figured it out and after 3 full days of prepping everything here is what you have! SPRING BREAK! I told you it has been a while. My brother and sister-in-law and kids (6 of them) moved from Miami Florida to Jefferson city Missouri at the first of the year. I am really excited to have them so close. They have been to see us but we had not been to see them so I loaded up the kids and headed to their house for a few days. It was a blast and the kids love being able to hang out with cousins. We went on a picnic to the Capital Building. shopping and went bonkers!!! OK really it was a fun place called going bonkers! Uncle David and Lexi On the way home we went to St. Louis to see Kevin's brother Brett and His wife Haydee and two cute girls Maria and Sophia. We stayed the night with them then went to the zoo the next morning before heading home. It was also fun to spend time with them. About 20 minutes from home Kevin called and said that our baby horse was about to be born so we drove to meet him out at the farm. We missed it by minutes but this is what we got. The next weekend was Easter and General Conference. We went to an egg hunt on Saturday between sessions for the little kids. It is so fun to see how excited they get over everything. Its also fun that they are such good friends Tyler Lexi Nathan Cameron Lexi also lost her first tooth that night! Random pictures I just have to through in. I was cleaning my kitchen one morning could hear the babies giggling. After a few minutes of wondering what they were up to I went in search of the cause and this is what I found. They may hate me later but I just had to take a picture. For a long while when the twins would fight I would put them in the corner and make them count to 20. Again I just had to take a picture. I know I am suppose to be serious while they are in trouble but I couldn't resist. You don't get to have twins very often. Cameron turned 11! Cameron had a little party this year with a few of his best friends. Two of them were moving and we were trying to so I let him have them over for pizza, games and cake and ice cream. What can I say about Cameron! He is my lifesaver. Always helping, sharing, working, and being my peacemaker. Not me mention my conscience. The younger kids all adore him and look up to him. I don't know what I would do without him. You cant live in Kentucky in may and not have a Kentucky Derby party. We got together with some friends and had a BBQ. We all got to pick our winner and 2nd, 3rd and 4th place picks with prizes for those picked the winner. We Even had Mint Juleps (Virgin of course)! We got to wear our big hat's and the kids got to decorate their's. It was a ton of fun. The end of may brought some of you biggest news. We finally, after a year, sold our house. One of the teachers from the kids elem. school bought it so that made them happy to be giving it to someone they knew and who would love our house as much as we did. It was really hard to move and even harder to leave so many great friends but the move has been good and we know this is where we are suppose to be. We are renting for now until we decide for sure what we want to do. I will put up pictures of our house asap for my sister. They hate not being able to picture where I am. With school almost out the kids got to do lots of fun things. One of the days was "Crazy hair Day" Lexi didn't have to try, she just got out of bed. OK so I helped it a little but not much. That's just one of the great things about lexi's hair. Nates crazy hair Cameron Graduated from Elementary school. I can't believe I will have two in middle school. He is excited and I am glad that he and Ty will be together. Mrs. Melton He loved this teach and she adored him. She even cried when he was hugging her for this picture. She let him get away with anything and I have to say it was well deserved. Cam is one of those kids that is nice to everyone and everyone loves. HE got straight A's for three quarters in a row. As soon as graduation was over we headed again to Jeff. City. My mom and dad where there so we went to spend some time with them. We had to go again to "Going Bonkers" with grammy and papa. Since the 4th of July was on a sunday this year Lexington celebrated on the 3rd. We went to the Parade in Georgetown then when downtown Lexington to enjoy some of the festivities. The fireworks where awesome and we so close. The babies were a little nervous at first but by the time they were over they were saying "their not scary, their nice!". On monday after the 4th we left on a much needed Vacation. We went up to Kirtland Ohio to see the church sites then up to Niagara falls. We stayed on the Canada side and it was amazing. We did so many things and saw so much. Alot of our pictures were taken with kev's phone so I will have to post those later. The kids at the Hotel After spending 3 days at Niagara falls we went to see the Erie Canal and then up to Palmyra NY to see more church sites and the Hill Camorah pageant. the newer still working Locks at the Erie Canal The old original Locks at the Erie Canal This is the smith cabin where they lived when Joseph had the first vision. this is the room that Joseph was in when The Angel Moroni appeared and told Joseph about the Book of mormon. The Angel Moroni monument on top of Hill Camorah The stage for the Pageant The Printer where the Book of Mormon was published for the first time. The Hearth Where Joseph hid the plates from the mobs In the Sacred Grove Last weekend Dave and Jen came to visit and we went to the Quarter horse races. I have to say I was rather disapointed in them since I had talked them up so much. They have changed so much about them and it was pouring rain but we still had a fun time. Last Friday we went to the Louisville zoo with some friends from our new ward. It was really really hot but we had a blast. Tyler was picked to help out at the sea lion show. Every once in a while a moment comes along and I am struck by the "WOW! I really have twins" Moment! This is one of those moments. They seem to come quite often, at random times, when I have to do everything twice or in doubles. I wouldn't trade these moments for anything. My babies are 3!!!! On sunday July 25th my babies turned 3 years old. Since it was on Sunday we didn't do much. We had dinner then did a ponata, presents and cake. They are at such a fun age where they love anything and are so excited about everything. It has been a challenge to have two together but we have loved every minute of it. They are such good friends (most of the time). Get along really well (except occationally) and are always together (usually getting into trouble). I sent Kevin to get the pinata and this is what he came home with. He said it was either this or a princess castle. I personally would have gone with the castle because at least a prince can live there too right! Oh well. Mia didn't seem to care. A tuckered out little tinckerbell! So there you have it. Ton's of pictures and still more to come. Hopefully It won't be as long in between post this time.
