What do you do during two hours of conference to keep your kids quiet? This is something we have been trying to figure out. This year I think we may have found a solution! Give your kids a pen and a leg (or arm) and turn them loose. It started with Cameron then Nate decided to join in. Then Lexi and before I knew it my kids had me sprawled out on the floor with each of them coloring on a leg or arm (babies were in bed)! They were so quiet and it kept them busy for the whole two hours. The extra bonus for me was I just HAD TO take a nice long bath that afternoon to wash it all off. It was great for me and the kids were pretty proud of their art work.....(OK so it was totally not planned and I'm not sure I would recommend it but it was fun anyway).
Nate has been loosing a few teeth as you can see. He looks like a little old grandpa without any teeth when his mouth is closed. He is feeling pretty rich right now and If he keep it up the tooth fairy will be broke!
We are officially OLD!!!! We have a child in young men's!!!! Tyler turned 12 on Sept 22. It is crazy to me that he is that old. Grandpa Hyde flew out to help ordain him and we appreciate it so much. It was great to have him here for a few days. My camera was still broken so I didn't get any pictures but It meant a lot to all of us. This year was a big milestone for Kevin as he was able to take a son to the Priesthood meeting with him. Tyler wasn't sure he was very excited about sitting for another 2 hours. I told him "They are having Ice cream after if that makes you feel any better!" He said "it does" and went with a happy attitude. This Sunday will be his first week passing the sacrament. He said he is not nervous but I am nervous for him so its all good. We are very proud of Tyler and the young man that he is becoming. We have seen some major growth in him this last year. He is such a great boy and has all the confidence in the world. We love you Ty.
So my camera shutter still wouldn't open after being dropped by babies but I riped it off which is good because I can at least take pictures but now my lens is dirty and wont take a great picture. oh well. For now it will do until I can get a new one.
